Offsetting the center makes the grinding area at the bottom of the peg thick enough while at the same time making the top side thinner which save you some unwanted grams. Just make sure you run these with the thin side facing up. The weight of these chromo pegs is comparable to Ti pegs but the price is only a fraction of what a Ti peg would set you back.
